Coffee

A great decaf is a hard thing to find. I have sampled dozens of types and varieties of decaf to find you the very best. Some decafs I have tried have been very mild and weak. A lot of have been just okay medium roasts. Some have been just exceptional. I’ll had a large ranger of flavors such as pipe tobacco, marshmallow, blueberry, dark chocolate, hay, cardboard, pecan or almond etc. Below are some of my absolute favorites. Just to be clear I really like these after tasting a lot of decafs but everyone has a different palette. Some people really like dark roasts and heavy smoke like a Rauchbeir and some people just like a good mild light roast. Every style and flavor is fair game. The ones I am listing below I think most people will really enjoy. Affiliate links below!

For average drinking and everyday use my two favorites are Starbuck’s House Blend Decaf and Seattle’s Best Portside Blend. If you ever wondered what method Starbucks uses to decaffeinate their coffee see this post, you might be surprised!

Want something more high end to impress that special someone try Caffe Umbria. I sampled this on my trip to Seattle many years ago and its still one of my favorite coffees ever! I still think of that trip to this day. Six coffee shops in one afternoon with everything from cold brew to dark roast to espresso. Absolutely none of it decaf but I was young and reckless!

Lets be honest every now and then you need a really good dark roast. Check out Kicking Horse Decaf for a dark roast decaf. Swiss water process Central and South American beans roasted to give a hazelnut and chocolate flavor that really gives a kick!

In the middle of a detox and don’t want to derail that check out Bullet Coffee. Mycotoxin free certified coffee. Add some of their Brain Octane oil to become a superhuman capable of drinking the tallest cup and solving world peace all at once. Okay maybe not that last part ,but you never know!

Whats the rarest thing to find on planet earth? No, its not a white Rhino, but a good decaf that is also Kosher for Passover. Look no further then Gevalia Kaffee House Blend. This is a great decaf and is Kosher. I found this one to be a really smooth and bold blend that even fooled a caffeine drinker into thinking it was regular.
